You will take control of multiple characters throughout the game, each one plays similar, but you control them in different parts the school that the game takes place. ![]() GameplayĬorpse Party is less of a game and more of an interactive visual novel. #Corpse party anime bathroom sceen series#It is harder to recommend if you have already made the journey into this series before, but a great entry into the series regardless.Ĭorpse Party is available on the 3DS for $29.99. #Corpse party anime bathroom sceen full#Don’t go into this game expecting to play a game full of adventure of survival though, this is all about the story and as a result it makes the game one you shouldn’t miss. Corpse Party is a top down adventure game with a mix of visual novel and survival aspects thrown in. Thankfully, the game still holds up in 2016. #Corpse party anime bathroom sceen psp#I originally played Corpse Party on the PSP about two to three years ago and I remember loving every minute of it. ![]() It is a very deceptive game with its 2D pixel sprite art. Now I have all the extra content to dive into and achievements to knockout.Corpse Party has seen its fair share of releases throughout the years. And I saw that everyone was saying the second game sucks ITT lol. I wasn't expecting so many loose ends though! You could almost straight up call it a cliffhanger. Her and Yoshiki bounce off each other so well. My favorite character has gotta be Ayumi, though Seiko might have taken the crown if we could have spent more time with her. Being her killer is a twist I definitely didn't see coming, and then topping it off with Saeko spamming her from the grave like "Live, you idiot!!", ah. Even if they were only together in game for a short time, I quickly grew to love those two and I loved seeing Naomi's growth and struggle with the loss of Seiko. The reveal that Naomi hung Seiko under the curse hit me, DAMN. The one thing I could think to change was skipping the bathroom scene in the bunker with Satoshi and Yuka and I guess that was the key! No confession for you, Yuka. Going back through all the choices, I didn't see much room for alternatives so I was thinking I might have been locked into a bad end route. My first ending ended up being the alternate where Yuka and Naomi don't make it back. Overall, it's a decent horror experience, that comes with a handful of caveats. Difficulty wise it also had a lot of tricky parts, especially the last third, but I feel it leaned a bit more to frustrating at times. There are some decent twists here and there, but there are also a lot of moments that didn't really seem to have a strong impact, despite being focal points of the story.Ī very strong point of these games is the OST, that had a lot of great tracks, a neat surprise. ![]() Also, maybe because I've played it that much later than the original, it doesn't feel very unique. Other than the aforementioned stuff, I think the horror atmosphere of this is really good, though I personally felt it wanes when you start to uncover more of the truths. Yuka in particular is one of the worst characters I've ever seen in literally every scene she has, but other characters like Seiko have plenty of terrible scenes that drag down the game's narrative strengths a lot. While, comedic and calm moments can be fun in such games (or anime even), I found the ones in this totally tone deaf at best, annoying and embarrassing at worst. First, the elephant in the room, that is the writing of certain characters and events. Never played this before this version, I finished it in time for Halloween, with kind of mixed feelings overall. ![]()
